Home grown Mizuna（手作り水菜）

Though we do not have garden or deck, we have been creative to grow herbs, vegitables and plants out side of windows, backdoor as well as indoor. This is Mizuna that Annie grew from seeds. We ate them with Japanese chicken hot pot! Hotpot during summer made me sweat a lot but the tase was great! We also growing little tomatos, cucambers, bazil and other herbs.
デッキや庭はないけど、知恵を働かして、窓の外や裏戸やインドアを利用してハーブや野菜や植物を育てている。これはアニーが種から育てた水菜でとてもフレッシュ。やはり、鳥なべで水菜を食べることに。夏になべで汗かいたけれど、とてもおいしく、スーパーで買ったのより断然甘くシャキシャキしていた。この他にもプチトマト、キューリ、バジルやほかのハーブを育成中。

Our cute neighbor（かわいいご近所さん）

When I started cleaning our living room, the cats next door, who recently moved in, showed up and kept looking at me working all the time. They looked so puzzled. Since they are pretty cute, I will try to communicate with them from now on.
リビングルームの掃除をし始めたら、最近引っ越してきたお隣さんの猫達がなんじゃろうととても不思議そうにこっちを見続けていた。とてもかわいいやつらなので、これからちょくちょく意思疎通を図っていこうと思う。

Ocearn Beach（オーシャンビーチ）

Today, we went Meditation Class in San Jose. After San Jose, since weather was so good, we decided to check out beaches (my surf board and wetsuit are always in my car...). All the beach looked ok but we decided to take a walk to enjoy sun.
今日はサンホセへ瞑想教室に行った。その後、あまりに天気がいいので、ビーチ探索に（車の中にはサーフボードとウェットスーツが常備されている。。。）。波はそこそこだったので、お天気のなか散歩することに。

I saw some people surfing but I gave up this time.
何人か海に入っていたけど、僕は今日はやめ。

Really nice and wide beach.

広くていいビーチだと思う。家から車で１０分。

Ramen Hunt!（ラーメンを求めて）

It is difficult to find good Ramen in San Francisco (or outside of Japan). Finally, we found decent Ramen palces, one in San Francisco and the other one is in San Jose.
サンフランシスコでおいしいラーメンを見つけるのはとても難しい（というか日本の外ではどこでも）。とうとう、いろいろ試した後、サンフランシスコに一軒、サンホセ（サンフランシスコから車で１時間）に一軒見つける。

ダウンタウンにある刀屋ラーメン。味噌からラーメンはいける。面の量・硬さ、スープの量・温度・コク、バランス完璧。

サンホセのはるラーメン。はるラーメン（オリジナル）がいい。スープの量・温度・特にコクがいい。麺の量がちょっと多めで、種類・固さが気になったけど、やっぱりおいしいよね。

Wave is coming!（波が来ている！）

In our team, there are three kinds of people. People who do not want any wind. People who want some wind. People who want lots of wind. First one is surfer, second one is paragrider and thrid one is kite surfer. All of us look out window if there is any chance for ourselves. 　Today, it is sunny and there is no wind while wave looks big and nice shape from local internet site. I decided to take my chance since I started working 7 am today and no meeting till 2pm. It is normal to go to Gym during lunch time here. I left my office at noon.
僕らのチームでは、風を嫌う人達、少々風があったほうがいい人達、強い風を求めている人達がいる。最初のグループはサーファー、次のグループはパラグライダー、最後のグループはカイトサーファー。皆、窓の外を見てはチャンスを窺っている。今日は天気も良く、風もなく、波も大きくシェイプも良さそうだ。今日は朝７時から働いているし、午後２時まで会議がないので昼休みにトライする事に。ここでは昼休みにジムに行くのも普通だしね。と言うことで、正午ぴったりにオフィスを出発

15 minutes later, I am getting close to Pacifica. A bit foggy and makes me worried...

１５分後パシフィカビーチに近づいてきた。ちょっと霧がかって心配。。。

Well, when I got beach at 12:20, weather was perfect and wave looks great. Actually, the wave was 1-2 ft overhead and biggest and best shape last 6 months for me. After 40 minutes, I ran back to my car and went back to office. I came back my office around 1:20pm with great smile!
ところが、１２時２０分にビーチに到着したところ、これまた完璧な天気と波の状態。実際、波は１-２フィートオーバーヘッドのサイズでここ半年僕にとっては一番大きくきれいなシェープの波だった。４０分海に入って、オフィスには１時２０分に帰社。満足満足。
