Thanks Giving（感謝祭）

Today is Thanks Giving Holiday in US. As always, Annie and I decided to stay in SF enjoying nice relaxing holiday instead of traveling somewhere. We left for a nice 2 hour SF sightseeing walking + bus home tour! First, we walked to Presidio. It is 10 minute walk from our house. You can see Alcatraz, bay and bay bridge.
今日はアメリカでは感謝祭の祝日。いつものように、アニーと僕は、忙しく旅行に出かけるのでもなく、ゆっくりした休暇をサンフランシスコで楽しむ。家から2時間の観光ウォーキング＋バスで帰宅のツアーへ。家から10分でプレシディオ公園へ。アルカトラス島、湾、ベイブリッジが見える。

Then, we walked all the way down to Crissy Field. You can see Golden Gate Bridge behind Annnie. Recently Tanker hit the bridge and oil was spilt around the bay closing most of beaches. I have not surfed for almost one month. I will wait for 1 more month before jumping into the warter. During this time, I plan to start Paragliding.
それから、クリシー･フィールドまで降りていく。アニーの後ろにゴールデンゲートブリッジが見える。最近タンカーがこの橋に接触し、オイルが流出し、ベイエリアのビーチはほとんど閉鎖。ここ1ヶ月サーフィンをしていなく、あと1ヶ月は様子を見ようと思う。その間に、パラグライディングを始める予定。

From Crissy Field, we walked to Emporio Garden. We saw three swans and lots of ducks and seagulls. By the way, I watched "Seagull Dinner". I work for Finish comany visiting Helsinki often and this movie shows you good part of the city. Please check it out!

クリシーフィールドからエンポリオガーデンまで来る。3羽の白鳥とたくさんのかもとかもめがいた。ところで、最近「かもめ食堂」という映画を見た。僕はフィンランドの会社で働いているので良くヘルシンキにいくけど、雰囲気がでている良い映画なので、是非見てね。

From Marina area, we took a MUNI bus 28. We got off at Inner Richmond China Town area for grocery and walked home. After working (I replaced focet in bathroom) and relaxing reading books and listenting music, we decided to have little Thanks Giving dinner at home. My custom table works!

マリーナ地域からMUNIの28番バスにのって、インナーリッチモンドにあるチャイナタウンへ買い物に。ここから家まで歩いて帰る。ちょっとした仕事（バスルームの蛇口の交換）をして、その後、本を読んだり音楽を聴いたりしてリラックスした後（ちょっと昼寝も。。。）、我が家で小さな感謝祭ディナー。テーブルがなかなか使い勝手がいい！メニューは、アニーの酢豚・バンバンジー・ベジフライ・グリーンピース炒め・ブラックチキンスープと、僕のいわしフライ（捌きから）・広島おたふくソース・ゴマねぎ入り健康納豆。飲み物は、チリワインのカベルネソーヴィニョンと一番搾り。みんな勝手に好きなもの作ったって感じ。。。;-)。おいしかったー。

Natural Feeling in Living Room（居間の自然感覚）

Annie and I are adding more natural feeling to our living room. First trial is to place a nice Japanese style wood table, bamboo blinds for windows and a bookshelf, a little green house and light brown cloth cover for video shelf. We plan to add new lightings and pictures with quiet music.
アニーと僕は、お客さんを呼んだり、本を読んだりする、居間にもっと自然感覚を加えようとしている。まずは、日本式の木のテーブル、窓や本棚にすだれ（ちょっと冬には寒そうだけど。。。でもサンフランシスコの冬はそんなに寒くないけどね）、ちっちゃなグリーンハウス、ビデオCD棚にのれんなどを付ける。今度はライティングと絵・写真、それに静かな音楽に工夫を加えようと思っている。

Custom Green House（カスタムグリーンハウス）

Annie has been growing little vegitables outside of window decks. Since she has been struggling to find more space for more vegitables, I converted a nice shelf into a green house with thick nice plastic sheet. Let's see how it goes!
アニーは窓の外にある小さなデッキで小さな野菜を育てていたけれど、他の野菜も育てたいということで、ちょうど良い棚に厚手のプラスティックシートを形を整えてグリーンハウスを作成。ここでどんな野菜が出来るのか好御期待！

Japanese Table Comlete! （日本式テーブル完成！）

After customized kitchen table and dinner table modification, this is the third furniture project! I have been looking for a long Japanese table to accomodate 10 people but could not find any and I decided to make one by myself again! Based on the experiences I got from the previous two table projects, I have designed and built in 2 days. I am completely satisfied with the outcome!
キッチンカスタムテーブル、ディナーテーブルに続き第三弾！以前から、我が家へ友達を呼ぶ度に、ありあわせの高さの違うテーブルを合わせて、鍋会や忘年会などをしていた。ちゃんとした日本的な食事会を催すにはちゃんとしたテーブルが必要だと思っていて、10人くらい座れる長い日本テーブルを探していたのだけれど、見つからないので気合で作ることに。第一弾と第二弾で得た経験を元に、2日間集中して設計から作成。完全納得の出来です、ふふふ。

Beef Dish（ビーフ料理）

This weekend, the theme is beef. Annie came up with couple variations. Asian serving as well as American serving. We also tried to imitate those typical beef dishes in Taiwanese/Japanese restaurants. All of them were so good with good red wine.
今週末はテーマはビーフ。アニーがいろいろなバリエーションで料理。アジア風な出し方とアメリカっぽう出し方。それに加え、日本や台湾のステーキ屋にありそうな感じでも用意。赤ワインと一緒にとても美味しかった。
