2nd Day, we decided to challenge higher altitude (it was about 9,000 feed = 2,800 m). After eating cookies and drinking hot coffee, we headed toward Carlson-Iceberg Wilderness.2日目。

Our plan is to hike up to Saint Mary's Pass and continue to Sonora Peak.

It started nice green area. Weather is great!
********************
I found a nice flower. I do not know the name??
********************
Right after passing Saint Mary's Pass. It gets really windy and I gave Annie my Jacket. Air is thin and hiking is getting difficult. She looks like lost hikers ;-)

This is the peak. The altitude is 11,460 feet = 3,500 m. Not as high as Mt. Fuji but close.
********************
I brought burner and cooked lunch. It was macaroni with beef. Tasty!
********************
South side view from the top of Sonora Peak. You see Yosemite Park out there.
*******************
After nice lunch and break, we started coming down. We found nice flower field.

OK. It is time to head back. You encounter many horses in this trail. Annie is trying to hitch-hike (Riders are smiling since they know we are joking).
